Natalie Sciver Brunt, an accurate medium-pacer, made history by taking the first hat-trick in a Women’s T20 international match during her first year with the national side. She impressed everyone with match-winning performances in the County Championships, leading to her selection for the limited-overs squad against Pakistan. Sciver has played a crucial role in England’s victories in the ICC Women’s World Cup and World T20, showcasing her all-round abilities. She has been a regular for the English side since receiving a full central contract in 2019 and recently captained the team to a 3-0 sweep of the T20I series against New Zealand.

Natalie Sciver Brunt was born in Japan and she fell in love with cricket in Netherlands. She moved to England to build a career in cricket and on the back of two really good seasons for Surrey in 2012 and 2013, she became a part of the England team in 2014.
Sciver initially burst on to the scene as a skiddy medium pace bowler but later she developed her batting prowess quite a bit and is considered as a genuine allrounder. Sciver holds the distinguished record of becoming the first bowler to pick up a hat-trick in T20 cricket. She was a part of England’s World Cup winning squad in 2017 and was named as one of five Wisden Cricketers of the Year in 2018 for her part in the victory.
In 2019 she was given a full central contract and is one of the key members of the England side going into the 2022 Women’s World Cup in New Zealand.
7 March 2021, Sciver captained the England team for the first time in international cricket. She, along with Heather Knight, set the highest 3rd wicket stand in the history of the Women’s Cricket World Cup (213) during the 2017. At the end of the 2022 season, Sciver was named the PCA Women’s Player of the Year, for her two centuries during the 2022 World Cup, her maiden Test century against South Africa, and her performances during The Hundred.
