Early age Of Nikhat Zareen

She was born on June 14, 1996, in the city of Nizamabad, which is located in the Indian state of Telangana. This year marks the 27th anniversary of her birth. She received her diploma from Nirmala Hrudaya Girls High School, which is located in the city of Nizamabad, after finishing secondary school. She attended classes at AV College in Hyderabad and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from that institution.

Her father, Mohammed Jamil Ahmed, was the one who first introduced her to the sport of boxing. Furthermore, he taught her the fundamentals of boxing for nearly a year at a time when she needed it the most.

Her mother wasn’t very interested in her child pursuing boxing as a career due to religious and social stigma in our society but her father never stopped her and supported in every step of her life. He Shifted from Saudi Arabia where he works as a sales assistant for 15 years to India for supporting his daughters in sports and studies.

She was stubborn by nature, she never hesitated in boxing boys making fun of her. One day, she asked her father why girls are not allowed to play boxing, her father replied  Kyunki kisi ke paas itna dum nahi hai.” That was the day she decide to show the world that girls can also box.

When she started boxing in Nizamabad district in the beginning, she used to box only boys and not girls., Her Mantra was you hit me I will hit you and she channelized all her strength and aggression for boxing.   

Personal Life Of Nikhat Zareen 

Nikhat Zareen is the third of her family’s four daughters, making her the middle child of the four girls. Her father, Jamil Ahmed, is a salesman, but her mother, Parveen Sultana, is a stay-at-home mom. Her first exposure to the sport came from watching her uncle Shamshamuddin, a boxing trainer. This piqued her interest in combat-related activities. Nikhat became interested in martial arts after witnessing her uncle teach his sons how to fight when they were younger. This is where she got her start.

She has three sibling sisters, two elder are doctor and younger one is a badminton player.

She is unmarried at present and detail about her boyfriend are also not available. At present Nikhat Zareen focuses on the Asian Games 2023 in Hangzhou.

Nikhat Zareen has been appointed as the Staff Officer in year 2021 in the Bank Of India, Zonal Office AC Guards, Hyderabad.

Nikhat also has controversial fact: She challenged the selection of her Idol Olympics back in 2019,  she said there was bias in the selection process when the Boxing Federation of India (BFI) selected fighters for the Olympics back in 2019, before to the World Boxing Championship incident. Then, Nikhat hoped to compete against Mary Kom in the 51-kg trials however Mary Kom was chosen without any trials to represent India at the Women’s World Boxing Championships.

Interesting Facts about Nikhat Zareen

Nikhat (52kg), a top medal contender for India at the Paris Olympics, showcased her skill once again in the current major tournament, Elorda Cup 2024. She defeated Zhazira Urakbayeva of Kazakhstan with a clear 5-0 score, securing another gold medal for her impressive collection.

Her next stop: the Asian Games in Hangzhou. And if the same performances continue: the 2024 Olympics in Paris.

Nikhat Zareens uncle Samsamuddins sons Etheshamuddin and Itishamuddni are national-level boxers. 

She dropped plan to buy Mercedes after Mahindra gifted her a Thar SUV after she defeated Vietnam’s Nguyen Thi Tam to win gold in the 48-50 kg finals at the IBA Women’s World Boxing Championships in New Delhi. 

She is very active at various social media platform and post her workout photography very often

Her father accompany her during her all matches to take care of her diet and health. He used to watch her practicing and guide her how to improve. She feels motivated due to presence of her father around her.

The young aspirant hoped to fight the veteran Mary Kom in the trials but her hopes were shattered when she learned that there will be no trials for her and the reason being that she is too young.
