Childhood
The biggest struggle in the life of a girl is, born to be a girl and Anuradha Pal was also not an exceptional case to be spared by social taboos. The only privilege she had was her mother’s support. She was born in Aurangabad village and the village lacks the basic facilities
Anuradha was very enthusiastic and energetic starting from her child hood. She likes to play different sports and ask lot of questions, which was not appreciated by the community. Her mother, being an illiterate takes care of her education and pushes her towards studies. She always meets her teachers and discusses her progress and requests them to pay attention towards her.
Her primary education was done from the government Primary school in the village. After that she joined Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Haridwar. Her mother faced lot of social concern and oppose of her family and community but still she did not lose heart and was able to send Anuradha to pursue her education.

Anuradha’s journey is a reflection of the bond between a mother and daughter, intertwining their struggles and triumphs. As she walked the path of fulfillment, she carried her mother’s aspirations and together they achieved greatness.
The struggle for a girl starts as soon as they are born, Anuradha was also victim of social taboo but luckily she was supported by her parents to fulfill her dreams. Apart from social issues and oppose from friends, relatives and community there was one more major concern with which family was struggling and that was financial issues.
Her education till 12th was completed from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya and she cleared the entrance of G B Pant University, Pantnagar. At that time her other saving of Rs.20000 from milk selling was used to bear the expenses of her admission and rest she got the support from Him Jyoti Scholarship. But at the same time, she faced the opposition of the community.
After completing her graduation in the year 2008, she got the opportunity to work with Tech Mahindra company but due to COVID her joining delayed. Having her family’s responsibility she was unable to sit ideal and can’t wait for her joining, so she tried other options and got the job as a lecturer in College of Technology, Roorkee.
While she was working in the university, she came to know about UPSC exam. She started preparing for the exam and drops the idea of joining Tech Mahindra. She took risk and after working for three years as lecturer, she went to Delhi for coaching of UPSC. She joined Nirvana IAS Academy in Delhi.
At that time again, she faced the financial issue for which she started taking tuition classes and was supported by her friends. Secondly her brother also started contributing in family expenses.
In the year 2012, she cleared her UPSC exam with AIR Rank 451 but could not get the IAS position and was selected as IRS.
She was not satisfied by her achievements and again started her preparation. Her passion to become IAS was so high that she worked very hard and achieves her goal in the year 2015. She was not only able to clear the exam but also got the 1st position from Hindi medium with AIR Rank 62.

Anuradha is very easily approachable personality and recently she held Janta Darbar in which 29 issues where highlighted and she strictly instructed the responsible to resolve the issues within a week.
One of the issues highlighted was farmer were not receiving compensation. She instructed to stop the salary of the responsible Executive Officer.
She was praised by American government for her quick response to support the group of American stuck in Pindari Glacier and save their life.
Being SDM of Kirti Nagar, Tehri District, she stopped mining from Ganga river by making surprise investigation.
She choose History as her optional subject, stating that it would be beneficial for preparing General Studies as well. She mentioned that the History syllabus remains stable over time, making it advantageous because once you cover the syllabus, you can attempt the exam multiple times with confidence without worrying about significant changes in the syllabus.
Her strategy was to divide her time in small slots and make smaller targets that are easier to achieve. She was working at the time of preparing for her IAS attempts so she smartly manages her time for preparation while working.
She has great passion for arts and sports. She manages to spare some time for her passion, which rejuvenates her.
