Early Life
Dhruv Jurel is not very fond of cricket in his childhood. His cricket journey started from a summer camp in his school. He watched some children playing cricket and the batsman playing over there was hitting very beautiful cricketing shots. He was very influenced by that and his interest in cricket started from that period. Dhruv’s father wanted him to clear the NDA exam and join Indian army but his passion for cricket was growing day by day. After seeing his interest in cricket, his father got him enrolled in a cricket academy in Agra. He worked hard and sharpened his cricketing skills in the academy.

Dhruv Jurel was born in a middle-class family on January 21, 2001. His father Nem Singh Jurel, was a Kargil war veteran who retired in 2008 as Hawaldar from the Indian army. His mother is a homemaker. He has an elder sister, she was married.
Dhruv wanted to become an Indian Army officer like his father but as he grew up, his interest in cricket grew with him. He had struggled a lot for becoming a cricketer. He is very much inspired by the South African legend AB De Villiers. MS Dhoni is his role model in cricket.

Dhruv Jurel passion for cricket began at a very young age, and his dedication and hard work earned him a spot in the Uttar Pradesh Under-14 team for domestic cricket at the age of 14. He also played Under-16 and Under-19 for Uttar Pradesh team in domestic cricket.
India won the U-19 Asia Cup under his captaincy in 2019. He was also the Vice-captain for the U-19 Cricket World Cup squad.
Dhruv made his T20 debut on January 10, 2021, for Uttar Pradesh against Punjab in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
He made his First-Class debut on February 17, 2022, for Uttar Pradesh against Vidarbh in Ranji Trophy.
