Sundar Pichai, was born to Mrs. Lakshmi and Regunatha Pichai. He belongs to a middle-class family.  Pichai slept with his brother in the living room of the cramped family home during his childhood.  He completed his secondary education from Jawahar Vidyalaya, Chennai and Higher Secondary from Vana Vani, IIT Madras. Sundar Picahi studied in IIT Kharagpur and got his B-tech degree in Metallurgical Engineering and is a distinguished alumnus from that institution. Pichai started his career with Applied Material {engineering and product management} and Mckinsey  ( management consulting ). His venture with Google started in 2004, where he led the position of product management and innovation efforts, and his efforts include Google Chrome and Chrome OS, Google Drive. He also supported Gmail and Google Maps. He added Android and new video formats to the list of Google products in his tenure. He was also known to have helped negotiate Google’s $3.2 billion deal to acquire Nest Labs in 2014.

Pichai was promoted as Product chief in October 2015 and in 2019 he became CEO of Alphabet Inc. His compensation from then topped $200 Million in 2022. During his working with Google, he have been contacted by others for employment by Twitter, and Microsoft, but in both instances, he was granted large financial packages to remain with Google.

Sundar Pichai comes from a middle-class family, his father Mr. Regunatha was an electrical engineer, who works for a British company and also run a small manufacturing Plant that produce electrical components.
