Garima was born in Buxar, Bihar.She Belongs to business family and she is first from her family to join administrative service. She completed her 10th form Woodstock school is Buxar and 12th from Sunbeam school in Varanasi. She moved to Delhi for her higher studies and joined kirori Mal College.

Garima belong to a middle class Joint family her father was a wholesale merchant of garments and her mother was homemaker. After the sad demise of her father her mother took up the responsibilities of her brother and sister.
Garima had joint family of 13 members therefore she deicide to study from 9pm -9am to avoid outer distraction. In 2020 when the whole world was stopped due to COVID Garima utilized the time and started her preparation from home for UPSC exam. Her intention for studying from home was to save time and avail technology facility for preparing the exam
Unfortunately she was unable to clear the exam in her first attempt but her continuous efforts dedication gave her a result with flying colors she scored 2 Rank in UPSC second attempt

Garima was interested in becoming chartered accountant but due to lock down in 2020 she was unable to start her studies for CA. Analysing the situation and looking at the resource during look down she started preparation for UPSC through internet and NCERT Book.
She did not join any coaching class but to fine tune her subject knowledge and asses her preparation she relayed on Mock interviews and test series.
She solved the last ten years paper of UPSC and practice essay writing to enhance her writing skill.
She say that while preparing for exam she planned her study material without making it overloaded and while revision she never add new topic.
As per her it does not matter how long you study what matter is how much you again.
Her complete focus was on self studies and saving time.
Proper planning and persistent effort are required for cracking one of the hardest exams in India.
