Harshad Arora comes from a middle-class family. His father was a businessman who operated out of Delhi, and little is known about his mother. Since he was passionate about performing and was receiving offers for modelling and acting, he began his professional career as a public relations officer and worked there for one and a half years before moving to Mumbai, the city of dreams, to pursue his goal. He received offers to start a career after winning a modelling competition while still in college.

When he starred as Zain Abdullah opposite Preetika Rao in Colors TV’s wildly successful love drama Beintehaa in 2014, Harshad Arora’s career as a commercial actor really took off. The public still adores them because of their on-screen chemistry. The programme made a comeback in 2016 with the title Salaam-E-IshqDaastaanMohabbat Ki (SalameIshq: the narrative of love), which was broadcast on Colors Rishtey.
This series Beintehaa has also been dubbed in different languanges with different or same name in Tamil as Alaipayuthey , in Indonesian and aired on ANTV, with same name in Turkish language and aired on Kanal 7 channel in the name Benimsin, in South Africa in the name Endless Love on Glow TV, in Bosnia and Herzegovina and aired on OBN TV channel in the name Aaliya, in Tanzania in Swahili language and aired on Azam TV (azam two) with the same name Beintehaa.
The programme had its Afghanistan television debut in 2017 under the name on Lemar. It was also broadcast on Sama Dubai in Arabic under the title “.” B.D. SEVG was the name given to its 2018 Dala TV Azerbaijan debut. Due to its immense popularity among audiences, Beintehaa was again reaired as “Pyaar Ka Fitoor” from 21 October 2021 and was broadcast on Colors Rishtey, just a month before its 7-year completion anniversary.
In 2015, Arora venture into reality with participating in Colors TV’s stunt-based show Fear Factor: Khatron KeKhiladi 6 where he finished at 15th place. After a year in 2016, he starred as Adarsh Sinha, an IAS officer in Star Plus’s legal drama Dahleez co-starring Tridha Choudhury. The show went off air after completing 104 episodes.

In addition to being successful, a handful of his series did not perform well in the years 2016–2017, including Super Cops vs. Super villains and Mayavi Maling, also known as The Kings Daughters. Alia Tera Kya Hoga, Thoda Sa Badal Thoda Sa Paani.
He also gave guest appearance in Big Boss 7 , Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 7, Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi and worked in web series the Final call
