He belongs to a middle class family. His  Father Jitender Dagar, who played cricket at the university level, works as a contractor for Municipal Corporation of Delhi. He was fortunate to have good mentors from his childhood, as Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag is a cousin of Dagar’s mother and good mentor and Coach of Mayank. He also got motivation and guidance from his father. He was not good in studies and was more focused for cricket.

Career    

Mayank Dagar started playing domestic cricket in 2015 and made his domestic List A debut on 26 December 2015 while playing against Delhi at Bengaluru, and after that he got a chance to debut in First Class and T20s cricket in the next  two years.

Dagar has represented India at the Under-19 World Cup in 2016 and also has been selected for the Under-23 Team. Dagar has played 13 T20 matches and has taken 12 wickets at an economy rate of 7.34. His best figures are of 3/28.

In first class Cricket, Dagar has played 11 matches where he has taken 30 wickets at good economy rate of 2.90.
