Early Life
Suyash Sharma is a 19 year old cricketer from Bhajanpura, East Delhi. Due to lack of backing and a middle-class family boy, he had to struggle a lot. It’s extremely difficult for Suyash to deal with the stress related to the illness of his father who is fighting with the cancer disease and focus on his cricketing career. In the early days, Suyash was the student of Virat Kohli’s coach, former Delhi spinner late Suresh Batra and later played cricket in the guidance of Kartar Nath and Gursharan Singh.

He started his career by playing club cricket for Delhi and hasn’t played any List A, First-Class or any T20 matches. Suyash played for Madras Club in the DDCA League and Run-Star club in open tournaments. The Madras Club is one of the well-known clubs in Delhi club circuit and its famous alumni include Virender Sehwag and Yuzvendra Chahal. He took seven wickets in DDCA Challenger Trophy tournament and got the selection into Delhi Under-25 team for the white ball matches.
Making his debut as an ‘impact substitute, Suyash Sharma took 3 for 30 with an economy of 7.5 in KKR’s 81 run victory over Royal Challenger Bangalore. He impressed every cricket fan on his IPL debut match against RCB. Despite of the big names in the team like Sunil Narayan and Varun Chakravarthy, the young spinner got a chance and he grabbed the opportunity with his both hands by claiming 3 wickets in his name, of two recognized keeper-batsman, Dinesh Kartik, Anuj Rawat and the spinner Karan Sharma.
Despite of his deceptive bowling action and no experience of playing cricket at senior level, Kolkata Knight Riders franchise showed faith in him and bought him at his base price of INR 20 Lakh in the IPL auction held on December, 2022.
